This puffy little Chickadee is cute as can be and is perched on a pine cone that is meticulously hand carved from American chestnut. The wood grain peeks through the paint on the Chickadee and is absolutely wonderful. The pine cone is not painted to appreciate the beauty of the American chestnut wood. The pine bough and Chickadee's feet are made by the artist from copper wire and some secret stuff to really give them an authentic look. Two little red berries on stems are held in the bird's beak.
