These darling Chickadees are perched on a stoneware crock cheek to cheek and are hopelessly in love! Hand carved entirely from American chestnut, even the crock is made from wood! Usually Peter brings out the wood grain in each carving but for the crock most of it was filed away, painted and given a crackle finish for an authentic look. The wood grain is really nice on the Chickadees and their feet are made from copper wire and epoxy then painted.
