A feathered trio of friends is this gaggle of geese. A sleeping one is safe while the other two are keeping watch. Hand carved from American chestnut, the wood grain is wonderful. The feet are made by the artist from copper wire and sheeting then painted and are very detailed. The base is painted a faded blue with lots of wood grain peeking through with a plain unpainted wood band around the outside edge.
