We have to offer summer's best fruit selection, all nestled in a hand carved bowl. Yes, Peter hand carved the bowl from a 12 inch by almost 3 inch American chestnut board! The wood grain is absoultely beautiful. A band around the top edge of the bowl is painted a faded green and the rest of the bowl is the natural look of American chestnut wood. A light wax was applied to give a smooth finish. Except for the wood grain that peeks through the paint, the fruit almost looks real! There is a banana, orange, a prune plum, a red and green apple, a peach, 2 seckel pears, a Bartlett and a Bosc pear and 3 walnuts. This bowl of fruit will look great on any table.
