From the family of Sandpipers is a Lesser Yellowlegs preening. Standing perfectly balanced on one leg on a large seashell. Handcarved from American chestnut. Lots of great detail. There are a few worm holes on the seashell and on the sandpiper too, all in the right places as to not detract from the subject. A really nice addition for any shorebird collector.
